About this role

Since 2011, Park Hill Vet has been providing progressive, high-quality veterinary medical care to beloved pets in the Denver metro-area from our location in the beautiful Park Hill neighborhood in northeast Denver. We strive to cultivate a positive work environment where you can work with a stellar team, have fun, and continue to learn every day while working with a clientele that tends to say yes rather than no to diagnostics and treatment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking to add an experienced associate veterinarian to join our exceptional team due to a former team member electing to not return from maternity leave.  Position ideally for full-time, but willing to discuss part-time.

  • Do you long for veterinary home that gives you the ability to be a successful and passionate veterinarian while also maintaining a healthy work-life balance?
  • Are you someone who loves learning and growing your skillset?
  • Do you seek a place where you can practice high-quality medicine in a positive, family-oriented environment?

If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team.

Practice Overview:

  • Independent, family-owned, AAHA-accredited facility practicing Fear Free™/low stress handling.
  • Caring colleagues with open minds and hearts.
  • Up-to-date equipment including electronic medical records, digital x-ray with radiologist review, digital dental x-ray (all dental patients get full-mouth and post-extraction radiographs), in-house lab including inVUE (blood morphology, ear cytology, fine needles aspirate cytology) and PT/aPTT, Phovia™ light therapy unit, cold laser and more.

 What’s in It for You:

  • A rotating schedule of appointments and dedicated anesthetic procedure days. Primarily dentistry and soft tissue surgery (spay, neuter, mass removals, cystotomies, etc.). For orthopedic or specialty level soft tissue, we have mobile boarded surgeons available.
  • AM Saturday appointments no more than twice monthly (every 3rd Saturday, 8a-1p) and no emergency call
  • Paid time off and generous Continuing Education support along with access to AAHA CE, Patterson Veterinary Academy and EdQuest via our hospital memberships with options for VIN access or VetGirl membership for additional CE
  • Licensing fees covered as well as AVMA membership and PLIT
  • 401K with 4% match
  • Health Insurance that also includes vision and dental
  • Base salary commensurate to experience with monthly production bonus. No negative accrual.

What Work at PHV Looks Like:

  • Being a dedicated doctor focused on patient evaluation and management and not having to be a veterinary technician in addition to your normal duties.
  • Having the support of a leveraged, exceptional support staff - we are well staffed with veterinary assistants/techs for each appointment doctor and RVTs/highly trained veterinary assistants for anesthetic procedure days
  • Building and maintaining client relationships – we have the most excellent clients who say yes to preventive care and higher-level care with our mobile specialists or referral care
  • Diagnosing, treating and managing a variety of small animal cases
  • Performing small animal dental and surgical procedures
  • Collaborating with your PHV colleague DVMs and with our mobile surgical, cardiology, internal medicine and oncology specialists
  • Supporting our positive and low drama supportive work environment
