Description
Description
Remember why you became a veterinarian?
You went to veterinary school to diagnose disease, solve medical problems, help patients, and build relationships with clients. Somewhere along the way, veterinary medicine started feeling different.
More pressure. More metrics. Less medicine.
Pet Haven Animal Hospital, Watertown MA is looking for an Associate Veterinarian who wants to practice thoughtful, high-quality small animal medicine in an independent, 3 day alternating with a 4 day work week doctor-led hospital.
This is not a sales job.
You did not become a veterinarian to hit production targets, follow corporate scripts, or feel pressured to recommend care based on someone else’s business model. At Pine Animal Hospital, the job is medicine: thoughtful diagnostics, clear communication, ethical recommendations, real case workups, real mentorship, and real support.
What real medicine looks like here:
- Digital radiography and dental radiography
- Point-of-care ultrasound
- Integrated medical records
- Strong technician support
- Dedicated technician appointment windows
- Collaborative relationships with board-certified specialists
- Same-day and next-day care
- Open 5 days, No weekends.
- Independent, doctor-led decision-making
We are especially interested in veterinarians who are 2–8 years into practice and still genuinely love veterinary medicine, but may feel frustrated by production pressure, corporate mandates, or the feeling that clinical growth has been replaced by efficiency metrics.
You do not need to be actively job hunting. Many of the best conversations start with simple curiosity.
Pet Haven Animal Hospital was built to be different: independent, doctor-led, medicine-first, and centered around patients, clients, doctors, and the team.
If you are quietly wondering whether veterinary medicine can feel meaningful again, we would be happy to have a confidential conversation.
